If you’ve ever searched for practical church leadership advice and found yourself drowning in abstract theory, you’re not alone. I’ve spent more than 15 years working at the intersection of ministry, editorial leadership, and content strategy, and I built my career specifically around closing the gap between good ideas and real, usable guidance for leaders in the trenches.

I’m currently Editor at Black & White Zebra, where I develop content that helps church leaders make better decisions, lead healthier teams, and build ministries that actually last. I enjoy creating resources that make a real, tangible impact in the day-to-day lives of my readers.

Before stepping into editorial leadership at Black and White Zebra, I founded Lazarus Books, where I’ve spent over a decade producing books, ghostwriting, and building content strategies for mission-driven authors and organizations. Two of those projects—the Our Resolute Hope and John Lynch Speaks discipleship brands— were built around books my company produced and grew into recognizable platforms in the Christian publishing space.

In 2020, I co-authored Stunned by Grace, a book that went on to become a bestseller. It has been published in five languages and is now used as part of a national Christian counseling curriculum.

I studied Theology and Leadership at Rocky Mountain College. I’ve served as a lay pastor at New Life Fellowship since 2019, where I preach, mentor, and lead small group bible studies.

More About Me:

I live in Cambridge, Ontario, with my wife, Sarah, and my crew of teenagers. When I’m not writing or podcasting, you’ll probably find me running a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, playing street hockey, fishing with my kids, reading a novel, or losing gracefully(ish) to my wife at cribbage.
